West Virginia Central Federal Credit Union’s Core Values:

1.    Passion
2.    Teamwork
3.    Excellence
4.    Community
5.    Innovation

This month I would like to talk briefly about Teamwork. We define teamwork as working together to achieve extraordinary results!

Andrew Carnegie stated that “Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.”

Extraordinary things can be accomplished by bringing a strong team together and then working relentlessly to reach a common goal. Our credit union’s common goal is to meet the needs of our members to the best of our ability and to have a positive impact on the members and our communities.

We most recently accomplished this when we wrote checks to 48 worthy groups and charities to help them recover from the impact that COVID has had on their abilities to exist. In total, $117,500 was given to recognize what these groups are accomplishing in our communities.

Please help us support these efforts by being an active member of WV Central. This is accomplished by using all of our services including our outstanding lending options.

Being a cooperative, we need savers and borrowers to assure all members prosper. Please let us know if we can be of service to you or a member of your family.

SECURING YOUR HOME OFFICE
Below we've highlighted a few ways to ensure your workspace is secured while working from home.

Uses strong passwords. All accounts and devices require strong, unique passwords. Don't share those passwords with anyone for any reason.

Lock your workstation. When not in use, always lock your workstation and ensure no one else in your household can access work-related information or accounts.

Beware of smart devices. Ensure voice-controlled smart devices can't listen in on any discussions that involve confidential information. Ideally, remove smart devices from your workspace.

Separate work and personal. Don't use work devices or accounts for personal reasons. If you have approval to work on a personal computer, protect it with antivirus software.

Always follow policy. No matter where you work, remember that organizational policies apply and must be followed at all times.
We will be closed on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in observance of Veterans Day.

2021 Angel Tree

It’s become an annual tradition for our staff and and our members to participate in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, which helps put new clothes and toys under the tree for local children who normally would not receive Christmas gifts.

Angels will be available starting November 8th at each location.

If you would like to adopt an Angel this season, stop by and select your Angel from our Angel Tree and then purchase appropriate items from their list. Thank you for your support!
