to all FWCS high schools

A recent voter referendum calling for more safety measures in Fort Wayne Community Schools will expand the work of St. Joe Foundation grantee Alive Community Outreach.

Learn how to effectively welcome our

international neighbors with true hospitality

People from over 65 nations have called Fort Wayne home, and it's an honor and a privilege to welcome our refugee friends well. What makes for a warm welcome for each individual person? How do we grow in our understanding of authentic hospitality and relationship building? Join the Immigration Network and International House at the ACPL on December 11, 2023 at 3:30PM as we discuss meeting, greeting, listening, learning, and living in community with people from around the world.


International House is a Fort Wayne nonprofit that has served people from more than 65 countries since first opening its doors. Clients reside in all four corners of Fort Wayne, with most living in the southeast, central, and northeast areas. Eleven programs are offered and 25 languages are spoken across all the programs.

Parts of Allen County continue to have higher infant mortality rates than in most other areas of Indiana and the rest of the country. Each loss is a tragedy. St. Joe Foundation to offer Double Up

at Pontiac Street Market

New grocery addressing access to healthy food

The St. Joe Foundation is now offering its Double Up program at the new Pontiac Street Market, located in what has been identified as a food desert, or an area with little or no access to fresh and healthy foods. A recent Foundation grant to the market helped provide the technology needed to implement Double Up, which provides customers who pay with SNAP (food stamps) a $1 for $1 match on the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables up to $20 a day.
