VegMichigan Expands Food Activism Program
VegMichigan hosted over 10 events in October geared towards individuals who are new to plant-based eating. We offered free plant-based food and talked to people about the benefits of eating more plant-based meals. We focused on positive conversations in fun settings, which has shown to be a winning combination. In addition to our events, we have now given out more than 1,000 giveaway bags full of popular plant-based packaged items. Please consider becoming a member or making a donation to support our programs.
This really inspired me to go back to being vegan/vegetarian again. Your pamphlets really got through to me and my husband felt on board and surprised at how good things tasted! Thank you.
-Bonnie

We really enjoyed the Beyond Burgers for dinner last night. They were delicious!!

The Beyond Burgers were a highlight and make me want to try out more plant-based meat.

Please Make a Gift for Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is on November 30, and we hope you'll consider donating to VegMichigan to support our many outreach programs that introduce individuals to plant-based eating! We've been busy distributing more than 1,000 giveaway bags filled with popular plant-based foods, including JUST egg, Beyond Burgers and sausages, plant-based milk, and more. Each bag costs us more than $10, but based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback we're receiving, the impact is priceless. We also recently started to bring back our in-person events, including our outdoor free festival, tailgates, dinner clubs, and other events focused on introducing more individuals to delicious plant-based eating. You can see a 2-minute video about our work here. Thank you for your support!

Help Us Design a Billboard
VegMichigan is excited to be taking its message to promote plant-based eating to the streets; we've secured funding to put up billboards along heavily traveled interstates, and we need your help coming up with the most attention-grabbing sign ideally with four words or fewer. We'd love to hear your thoughts! Click here to submit your idea for an ad to promote plant-based eating in a positive way. Have a full billboard design in mind? Send your design to [email protected].
New VegMichigan Book Club
VegMichigan is excited to partner with Attorneys for Animals to launch a book club next month. We'll be reading and discussing Antiracism in Animal Advocacy: Igniting Cultural Transformation, a collection of essays edited by Jasmin Singer. The first meeting is Sunday, December 12 at 1pm via Zoom (registration required), which will give you plenty of time to pick up a copy of the book and start reading! You can purchase the book directly from the publisher, on Amazon, or check your local library. Click here to register and for more info.
