Government Marketplace Forecasts

Have your ever heard “If you first learn about an opportunity when the solicitation is posted – you are too late.” While it’s not always true, there are proven strategies for capture planning that can drastically improve your rate of success. One of the strategies involves paying attention to government forecasts.
 
A strong what’s-coming-down-the-pike forecast allows firms to prepare and further develop a winning strategy.  Your firm can use that time to build your most competitive team, learn about the customer, identify the incumbent, and map out your winning proposal.

  • 5. What certifications are important to them and how to present those in the proper way

Vaccine Mandates – The federal and state governments are continuing to issue contract modifications that require contractors to comply with vaccine mandates. See this article about common misconceptions, this article about what to look for on federal contracts, and this post with links to government compliance guidelines including a chart of Federal Agency Class Deviations.

Is your WOSB application pending? US Small Business Administration’s Office of Inspector General report last month indicates that over 15,000 Woman Owned Small Business applications have been submitted and to date only 3,242 have been approved. 12,000 were returned for more information. PTAC has seen instances where some documents were there, but a glitch in the system didn’t allow SBA to see them. Other times, the firms were indeed missing documents. 

Are you really SDB? The above noted inspector general report also found a lack of integrity in the government’s Small Disadvantage Business data due to firm’s self-certification in SAM. If you are unsure of your eligibility, contact your PTAC who can assist.
