is all about being prepared as one ages. This means knowing about senior resources and services before you need them. We focus on educational websites from the government, non-profits and the private sector, that offer information on being a "Prepared Senior".
Medicare Open Enrollment is here and runs until Dec 7th We know many people find and compare health plans at Medicare.gov during Open Enrollment. Find links to state-specific "SHIP programs" with information about local, personalized counseling and assistance to people with Medicare and their families. The 2018 National Veterans Day Poster
Each year the Veterans Day National Committee publishes a commemorative Veterans Day poster. Duet, a local nonprofit organization, is presenting its 28th Annual Poinsettia Tea fundraising event. The event is open to the public. Hundreds of guests are expected for a traditional afternoon tea complete with scones, sandwiches, and sweets. The Carolyn Eynon Singers is the featured entertainment. Doors open at 1:15PM, programming starts at 2:00PM. All proceeds raised from the Poinsettia Tea will support Duet's vitally needed health and wellness services that are provided free of charge for family caregivers, grandparents raising grandchildren, homebound adults and faith communities. Tickets cost $70 per person, $37 of which is tax deductible. Tickets are available online at
