Rancho Cordova showcased its innovation, community spirit, and vision for the future during the 2025 State of the City: “Big Picture, Bright Future,” held this week, November 5, at the Marriott Rancho Cordova.
Hosted by the Cordova Community Council and the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce in coordination with the City, this year’s event marked the first time the State of the City was held at the Marriott Rancho Cordova, drawing a packed crowd of residents, business leaders, and community partners.
Mayor Siri Pulipati shared the city’s biggest accomplishments and unveiled the first-ever Rancho Cordova Puzzle alongside world-renowned artist Eric Dowdle, celebrating the creativity and connection that define the community.

The Rancho Cordova City Council has approved a major investment of an additional $20 million to address deferred infrastructure maintenance across the community, reinforcing the city’s commitment to safe, reliable roads and stormwater systems that support everyday life for residents and businesses.
This investment will expedite critical repairs and rehabilitation projects that keep Rancho Cordova moving, and it brings the total investment for the year to $47.8 million. The initiative focuses on roadway, stormwater, and neighborhood infrastructure maintenance.

The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has announced new Homekey+ funding, powered by voter-approved Proposition 1, for the Mather Veterans Village Phase 4 project in Rancho Cordova, which is now fully funded and expected to break ground in February 2026. This vital expansion of the region’s only supportive housing community for homeless and disabled veterans will significantly expand the current 160 permanent supportive housing for veterans experiencing homelessness and living with behavioral health challenges.

The City of Rancho Cordova also has free a Stump Removal and Replacement Program that can help you remove tree stumps and find free replacement trees.

Traffic Calming Project Complete
The City of Rancho Cordova has recently completed the installation of a traffic circle and roundabout at Lincoln Village Drive and Baroque Drive. These roadway improvements are designed to enhance safety and improve traffic flow by encouraging slower speeds and continuous movement through the intersection.

November 8: Rancho Cordova Food Locker & Atlas Disposal Host Community Food Drive
This holiday season, Atlas Disposal is partnering with Rancho Cordova Food Locker for its second community food drive of the year. The Holiday Protein Food Drive will focus on collecting a variety of protein-rich foods, including frozen meats, plant-based proteins, canned beans, and more. While turkeys are a seasonal staple, not every family can accommodate them due to cost, access, or dietary needs.
