Annual pressure surveys, observation well pressures, etc. are due at the end of the year and pressures for off-target/gas allowables were due on November 1, 2019.
Operators have to make sure that all necessary pressure tests are taken and submitted as required into the well test capture system to avoid the $1,000 administrative penalty per well.

AER Bulletin 2019-24: Revised Date for Move of New Well Applications to OneStop
|
On October 18, 2019, the AER announced, that effective November 7, 2019, all applications for new well licences must be submitted through OneStop.The Digital Data Submission (DDS) system will stop accepting new well applications as of 5:00 p.m. on October 31, 2019, as a result of this transition to OneStop. A OneStop outage will be scheduled to implement the requisite changes.

.
This manual provides details on how the AER administers compliance assurance, and it guides AER staff in the development and execution of compliance processes and procedures.

Alberta Energy Information Letter 2019-37: Authorization to conduct disposal operations in undisposed Crown mineral rights that subsequently become disposed
|
There may be instances where a person holds a Crown authorization to conduct disposal operations in undisposed Crown mineral rights and subsequently, all or part of the same Crown mineral rights are disposed under a Crown mineral agreement issued to another person. In these instances, Alberta Energy considers the Crown authorization, if it has not since been terminated, to remain effective. The Crown mineral agreement lessee’s consent or permission is not required for the Crown authorization holder’s operations to continue or for any associated application by the Crown authorization holder to the Alberta Energy Regulator.

SK: Reminder to All Enhanced Oil Recovery Operators
|
On October 1, 2019, the Ministry of Energy and Resources (ER) released a reminder that all operators must file their EOR Operator's Return "Estimate" for the 2020 royalty/taxation year by November 30, 2019 using the new online self-service module.
The
June 5, 2019, IRIS release
included an online self- service module for the filing of EOR Operator's Returns. Five new permissions are required for the module so please contact your Security Administrator to ensure that the new permissions have been added to your User Profile. Training sessions are planned for the week of October 21, 2019 for EOR Operator's that are interested.

BCOGC Industry Bulletin 2019-21: Commission Introduces New Leak Detection and Repair Data Collection Template
|
On October 29, 2019, the BCOGC released a new Leak Detection and Repair Data Collection Template as a complement to its Fugitive Emissions Management Guideline. Both the template and the guideline are intended to support the new leak detection and repair requirements of the Drilling and Production Regulation that will come into effect on Jan. 1, 2020.
