The Stettler Awards Gala
The Stettler Awards Gala took place on October 25th and was a great opportunity to celebrate friends and neighbours in their business success and volunteerism.

The evening saw 13 awards given out, including the elimination style Consumer's Choice award that went to The Fresh Wife Soap Company. We congratulate both The Fresh Wife and their fellow nominee, Today's Sweet Cupcakery, for a tight race.

Congratulations to all of our winners and nominees. Pictured above is the Stettler Regional Fire Department who received the Community Service Award for their volunteerism and commitment to our community.
The Holiday Season is here!
At the Stettler Board of Trade we are excited to hear what you are doing to grow the holiday spirit that the Town of Stettler has fostered.
We are asking businesses to decorate, use lights, and create events or activities that correspond with our four holiday special events this year.

  • Black Friday and Moonlight Madness do not fall on the same day this year. To help drive traffic to local stores the Stettler Board of Trade will be running ads to remind people that Black Friday happens in Stettler too. Many local stores will be running sales for Black Friday, if you're one of them let Stacey know.

  • Moonlight Madness is the quintessential Stettler Christmas event. Lighting the tree, visiting with Santa and the kick off to the Christmas shopping season. We will be lighting the tree at 6pm on Main Street, with Santa staying with us on Main Street till 7pm when he will move to Wells Furniture.

  • This is a new event that focuses on driving the Alberta Prairie Railway's Polar Express traffic down town and into our local shops. With an expected 2000 visitors, over this weekend alone, Destination Stettler in cooperation with the Stettler Board of Trade has distributed special $5 Heart of Alberta Coupons to families riding the train December 14 & 15. We hope this encourages families to spend as well as gives us some feedback on where people are coming from and what they're spending. We ask that all retailers fully fill out the front of the coupon so the program can effectively derive important tourism statistics. After you have given the discount please return the coupons to our office for a full refund just as you would Heart of Alberta Dollars.

  • If you are participating in Miracle on 50th Street with events or activities we would like to know so we can add your events and link your website to

  • As the Night Before, the Night Before falls on a Sunday we are encouraging retailers to celebrate their customers during the day. While retailers may decide to stay open late as they customarily do on this day we believe that customer appreciation planned during the day will have the most impact.
