See and Hear Jackie in Seattle this Thursday!

OICMF Artistic Advisor and House Pianist Jon Kimura Parker (Jackie) will appear in a solo performance at Meany Hall at the University of Washington on

If you've attended our Festival or watched our concerts online, you know Jackie is known for his charisma, infectious enthusiasm, and dynamic performances as he communicates the joy of musical expression. Here is another chance to re-live (or hear for the first time) a very special collaboration from our 28th Season Festival - The Miró Quartet (Daniel Ching, violin; William Fedkenheuer, violin; John Largess, viola; Joshua Gindele, cello) with guest cellist Valentin Radutiu performing the 4th Movement Allegretto from

Franz Schubert's String Quintet in C Major, D. 956.

Our very own Anita Orne performed with conductor Adam Stern and the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra at Benaroya Hall this past weekend. Anita is entering her

last two months with us at OICMF before she takes her final Festival bow. Before doing so,

and thanks to the many generous donors, she has designated the new OICMF fund in her honor the "Anita's Volunteer & Local Support Fund," which is to be used to benefit our many volunteers and to be spent only at San Juan Islands' businesses.

Thank you Anita for all you have done for OICMF!

Stay tuned -

over the next few Scherzos, we will be sharing more wonderful performances from OICMF's 28th Season!
