November Spotlights: National Veterans and Military Families Month & National Native American Heritage Month
As we enter November, we pause to shine a light on two meaningful observances that resonate deeply with our mission of inclusive leadership, connection, and global awareness.
Honoring Veterans & Military Families
November is officially recognized as National Veterans and Military Families Month — a time to express our gratitude to those who have served, and to the families whose strength and resilience support them. It’s an opportunity for organizations like ours to engage thoughtfully: to raise awareness of the transition challenges many service members face, to celebrate the skills and leadership they bring to civilian life, and to strengthen our networks so that veterans and their families feel seen and supported.
Celebrating Native American Heritage
This month is also National Native American Heritage Month — a dedicated moment to honor the rich histories, languages, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples in the United States. By recognizing this heritage, we reaffirm our commitment to diverse voices, cultural inclusion, and the ways in which Indigenous perspectives enrich our collective future.
What This Means for GlobalMindED
At GlobalMindED, we believe that leadership is strengthened when we intentionally lift up diverse experiences and build bridges across communities. Here are a few ways we invite you to engage this month:
- Learn & Listen: Attend a talk or read a story from a veteran leader or Indigenous entrepreneur.
- Serve & Support: Explore how your organization can partner with veteran-owned businesses or Indigenous-led enterprises and nonprofits.
- Reflect & Share: Consider how themes of service, heritage and renewal connect across observances — and share those reflections with your teams, networks, or in our community forum.
As the calendar turns and the year moves toward closure, November offers a timely reminder of the power of service, heritage and transformation. Let us use this moment to deepen our shared understanding, strengthen our communities, and recommit to the inclusive leadership that defines GlobalMindED’s purpose.
