The Kane County Certified Naturalist program is great for adults who are interested in learning more about local flora, fauna, habitats, natural history, and more! Participants get to attend inside lectures during the cold winter months then go outside for field trips to local preserves in the spring. This program is an excellent way to increase your understanding and appreciation for the world in your backyard. The mission of KCCN is to promote awareness and citizen stewardship of Kane County natural resources through science-based education and community service. KCCN is a cooperative program of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, the St. Charles Park District, and the Geneva Park District.

Letters from the North Pole

Share your with list with Santa Claus and receive a personalized letter straight from the North Pole. Register for Santa’s Letter and answer the checklist questions. All letters will be mailed by Dec 10. You can even have your child write a letter to Santa Claus and return it to Santa’s Mailbox at PCC, or mail it to 8 North Ave, St. Charles. Letters from children will not be returned. Held at Pottawatomie Community Center.
