A Message from the Office of the Principal and Academic Affairs:
We are grateful to have weathered our first case of Covid positive and happy to announce that our presumptive case came back negative. We are redoubling our efforts to keep the school sanitized. All our procedures for taking temperature, requiring everyone to complete the screening form daily, wearing masks and social distancing continue with renewed spirit. We are thrilled to be back in the hybrid model but know that the girls still face challenges learning at home. Our teachers are working very hard to manage in school and online students. Our girls need to do everything they can to participate and stay actively engaged.

To help keep everyone safe, we will follow up any cases of students skipping class after checking in at first period with demerits. We need to know where the girls are throughout the day to fulfill our commitment to keep girls safe.

UPDATES FROM THE ACADEMICS AFFAIRS OFFICE

Grades for quarter one will close on Friday, November 13th for all students. Teachers will validate grades the week of November 16th. Report cards will be emailed through School Messenger on Sunday, November 22, 2020.

Any student in the virtual or hybrid model who is not in quarantine can email kradebaugh@lfchs.org to come into the building on Saturday, November 7th from 9-12 to complete any school assignments.

The Office of Academic Affairs ran a two hour seminar reviewing how to prepare for an interview for career and college readiness on Monday, November 2, 2020. Ms. Radebaugh highly enjoyed her time with the students, and was impressed with their participation. Fifty percent of the students in the session never prepared for an interview before. Our student participants received advice on how to research a potential employer, outlined how to write a resume, and how to excel in a virtual interview. All students received practiced interview questions as well.
Through a generous grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, PAFA is able to offer our partners tuition-free writing workshops for teens this fall. There are two workshops coming up:

To sign up for these workshops tuition-free, at check-out students must enter the code "TEENWRITING" and click +. The price of the program will be reduced to $0.
We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to you and we hope that you will pass this information along to your teens.

CLASS OF 2021 HARVEST FESTIVAL

In order to celebrate what would have been their last Harvest Dance, Little Flower will hold a Harvest Festival for its senior students, from 5 PM to 7 PM, on Friday evening, November 13, 2020, outside, at Little Flower.
As long as the CDC, State of PA and City of Philadelphia still permit larger gatherings outside, the members of the Class of 2021 are invited to enjoy some good food, enjoyable music and a fun time with their classmates. Cost will be $5 per person. Tickets will go on sale next week in the Main Office at the lunch periods.

Seniors, come join the fun!

Little Flower Goes Virtual!

Sunday, October 25 Little Flower decided to think outside the box with the successful implementation of a live Virtual Open House. Little Flower's Open House streamed live across two concurrently broadcasting social media platforms.

Open House viewership surpassed 3,000 people in its first day alone, and it will remain available on Little Flower's social media accounts to watch. All accounts are linked below.

The success of our Virtual Open House was made possible through the hard work of our Advancement Team and Student Ambassadors, with a special thank you to our dedicated teachers who gave their time to attend Open House.

We ask that you continue to keep the word out there about Little Flower! The best in all-girls Catholic education in Southeastern Pennsylvania, and possibly the world!
