Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (Romans 12:12, NIV)
November 2020 Week 3 Prayers
Barely ten days after Super Typhoon Goni devastated parts of the Philippines east and south of Manila, Typhoon Vamco (local name Ulysses) made a direct hit on metro Manila and on northern and central Luzon island. There was major flooding in many cities and provinces, compounded by damage to infrastructure. Rescue operations were hampered by lack of manpower and equipment. Please pray for the responders and all of the people of the Philippines during this extremely difficult time. Pray for safety and rest for everyone affected.

COVID-19 cases in Nepal are increasing. Total coronavirus infections in Nepal crossed 200,000 on November 11, as health workers say the nation was facing a "catastrophic" situation. Pray that people will follow preventive measures and pray for healing for patients and for comfort for those who have lost loved ones to the virus.

November 18 - 24 is World Antimicrobial Awareness Week. Pray for the work of the Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network to increase awareness of antimicrobial resistance; including Increasing awareness among faith-based health providers and the public of the threat it poses; and to develop and disseminate treatment guidelines for common infections.
