Wrapping up the 2024 Wellness Incentive Program: Attest to Completing Programs to Earn $100-$200

If you are a Wellness Program participant who currently receives the $25 Monthly Wellness Incentive and are working toward the additional $100-$200 available in Wellness Program Incentives, don't forget to attest to completing programs in up to two categories within HCM by November 30, 2024, to ensure you receive your incentive dollars in your December pay. View this guide for instructions on how to attest.

Qualify Now for the 2025 Wellness Incentive Program:

Last Month to Complete Your Three Wellness Activities

Faculty and staff who plan to use the university's Benelect medical plan next year are encouraged to complete three wellness activities (health risk assessment and at least two of these three activities: tobacco attestation, primary care provider attestation, and/or biometric screening) this fall to learn about their health and earn a $25 Monthly Wellness Incentive in 2025. Activities must be complete no later than Nov. 30, 2024. Learn more about the activities.

Please note that the Wellness Incentive Program is voluntary, and earnings are taxable. Only those who qualify for the $25 Monthly Wellness Incentive this fall for 2025 will have the opportunity to earn an additional $100-$200 in Wellness Program Incentives in 2025.

Omada

Did you know? CWRU faculty and staff who complete a biometric screening may be eligible to participate in a digital lifestyle change program from Omada Health at no cost to them. Those whose screening results indicate they are at risk for metabolic syndrome in 3 of 5 areas will be invited to participate via email directly from Omada. Learn more about Omada via this video.

Seasons of Self-Care: Fall

Join us for the final round of this year's Seasons of Self-Care program (4-5 sessions that align with each season), whether you participated previously or not. Heidi Weiker will help participants reflect on and contemplate the beauty of impermanence in all things. We'll deepen our respect for the interconnection of grief and gratefulness. We'll honor the timeless turning of nature, and thus within ourselves, as well as the natural falling away while we enjoy the comfort and repose of fall.

Please note that participation in either program below can contribute toward earning a Wellness Program Incentive in their respective categories, but that neither program alone would satisfy the requirements. Each round of Seasons of Self-Care is only 4-5 sessions, so participation in at least 2 rounds is necessary to qualify for an incentive in the Stress Management category.

Good Nurtured Pilot

Health Enhancement Systems, the organization that we partner with for Wellness challenges like Walktober, is testing out a brand new challenge called Good Nurtured.

Good Nurtured raises awareness of the mental, emotional, and physical health benefits of kindness, civility, and graciousness, by encouraging participants to select and engage in various "Good Things" activities that are the most important to them.

CWRU employees will be invited to join a two-week pilot of Good Nurtured, which will run from December 2-11. We will communicate more details and share a link to register in The Daily and our December newsletter, but if you want to make sure you don't miss it, please email Deanna Duffy at dxd516@case.edu to express your interest in participating. We will keep your name on a list and then contact you directly once registration is open. We hope you will choose to join us in nurturing the good in our lives!

Reflection Point - Spring Semester

There are two new Reflection Point groups coming in January! For those of you who have always had a hankering to try this program but are not sure you have the time to read three books, we will offer one series exclusively with short stories, one per session. The reading load is lighter, but the conversations are every bit as rich! Interested in learning more or joining a group? Please contact Elizabeth Click at erc10@case.edu. Those who have never participated in Reflection Point will be prioritized.
