Celebrating Native American Heritage Month
Native American Heritage Month celebrates the vibrant and diverse cultures of the Indigenous peoples of the United States and raises awareness of their ongoing fight for sovereignty and justice.

Our mission to eliminate racism and empower women means that we work toward right relationships with Native Peoples. YWCA Boulder County acknowledges that the land we live on today is the unceded territory of Hinóno'éí (Arapaho), Tsistsistas (Cheyenne), and Nuciu (Ute) nations.

In recognition of Native American Heritage Month, we have added additional resources to our Land Acknowledgment page, including educational resources and links to local and national Indigenous activist organizations.

Congratulations to our very own Director of Community Engagement & Equity, Shiquita Yarbrough, on being elected to Longmont City Council!
