Dear Friends of A Novel Experience,
Apart from all the mayhem of this year, we'll cherish the lovely memories from last night--the 2020 Downtown Trick or Treat was truly...just plain fun! Hundreds of ghosts, goblins, dinosaurs, fairies, knights, princesses, (accompanied by their loyal attendants) politely requested candy from our local merchants and restauranteurs, the Masons, the Sheriff's office, and our volunteer firefighters who raised their truck's ladder up to the full moon! And now, we'll take those memories into what is shaping up to be an untraditional holiday season--but, one in which we are newly reminded of our treasured family and friends.
We have had so many fabulous conversations with new and old friends at the store--we're looking forward to sharing ideas about that perfect book or gift for your loved ones. We've chosen some of our traditional--and new--"stocking stuffers" that will be just-the-thing for those on your gift list. (Check out the Worker Ant Party Picks for a good laugh...) If you are thinking about a particular title, please order soonest--we are hearing from our distributors that quantities may be limited because of printing backups and orders need to be in by December 16 to assure delivery before Christmas. And, as always, we thank you for buying local and supporting our community!
When you need a break we're here! We're back to our regular 10-7 hours--and we've had some really interesting conversations over the counter on current events. (Our bookstore rule, "anybody can join any conversation" contributes to that!)
Please don't forget you can order books on-line at Bookshop which will take you to our very own page. It's the coolest site that was designed to support independent bookstores--an alternative to the biggies.
We're here for you and, most importantly, we hope that you and your family are safe and well. Take care, all.
