Dear Erin,
The big news this month at the CAA is that our current Associate Director, Candice Driver, will be our next Norma Jean Calderwood Director. I am so excited for this transition, and for the new ideas and energy Candice will bring to the CAA community!
New to the galleries this month is Aura, juried by Tessa Bachi Haas (Assistant Curator, ICA/Boston). Thank you to all who attended a packed opening reception on Wednesday night! Patterns in Nature continues, through early January, at CAA @ Canal Gallery. Later this month, we are hosting a thought-proving talk, Patterning Light, in conjunction with both exhibits. Presenter Dr. Giulia Guidetti will explore how nature uses intricate patterns to create vibrant, functional colors.
As a member, donor, or all around arts supporter, your support is crucial to the CAA's success. If you can, please make a gift this month to support our work to maintain cultural vibrancy and build community in Cambridge. Art - and its power to connect us - is more important than ever.
With gratitude,
Erin Becker
Norma Jean Calderwood Director
Please note: the Kathryn Schultz Gallery is closed to visitors on Tuesdays, to allow for in-person educational programs in the gallery.
