An illustrated talk by Ian Jacobs based on the family archive of the Waddams family.
In February 1943 a group of artists and printers set sail from Glasgow Greenock, bound for South Africa, India and Burma. Through original artworks, photographs, maps and documents, Ian tells the story of the 61 Reproduction Unit, Indian Expeditionary, as they mapped the way to victory in August 1945.
Ian is a resident of Sunninghill, a historian and publisher. His talk is based on the family archive of the Waddams family.

Calling all investigators: we need your help to solve a dastardly crime committed at the Library Christmas Fete.
The Christmas Fete was a smashing success, and managed to raise a substantial sum of money. However, when the volunteers went to check the lockbox, the money was all gone!
You and your team of investigators will have to follow clues and solve interactive puzzles to find the culprit and help recover the funds before the night is over.
Come as a group of four or join a team on the night. Bring your own refreshments.
Take home a prize from our spectacular Christmas lucky dip!
Book your ticket now on Eventbrite.
