"Fun Day" to Celebrate 30 Years

To celebrate 30 years of WDCS, students participated in "Fun Day" last Friday. They competed in kickball, tug of war, and other games on our field. It was a beautiful day, and so much FUN!

Thank you to our volunteers from Highgate Capital Investments, who assisted with PreK and Kindergarten in the morning. And thank you to volunteers from our Champions Club for helping in the afternoon with 1st through 8th grade. You each played a role in making this day exciting for our students. We appreciate you all!

Cole Howard, Class of '09

Cole attended WDCS from 2001-2009. After graduating high school from The Cambridge School of Dallas, he attended college at Abilene Christian University studying Accounting and Finance. Cole now works in Commercial Real Estate Investments at Knox Capital, and he currently serves as a member of the WDCS Board of Directors.

When asked about his time at WDCS, this is what Cole shared:

"I truly believe that WDCS instilled in me the confidence that I could do or be whatever I set my mind to. From an early age, I was surrounded by teachers and mentors who not only believed in my potential but reminded me that my abilities were gifts from God. WDCS gave me a strong foundation, academically, spiritually, and personally, that shaped how I approach challenges and opportunities to this day.

Now, years later, I have the privilege of serving on the WDCS Board. It's incredibly meaningful to be able to give back to the same community that poured so much into me. I see how the same Christ-centered mission that impacted me as a student continues to shape new generations, and I'm grateful to play even a small part in carrying that legacy forward."
