PRESIDENT'S CORNER President's Corner    Hello, fellow Alamo Ranchers    It's the holiday season, and a lot is happening around Alamo Ranch!  First I'd like to thank everyone who came to the annual meeting last month. It was great to see so many people interested in our community and ask great questions. If you see them out and about, please welcome Michelle Garcia and Greg Schmidt to the board and welcome back Priscilla Alarcon-Delgado and Mike Erickson. The annual Trunk or Treat went off without a hitch, and we couldn't have done it without the social committee, the sponsors, and the wonderful volunteers. I hope everyone who came out had fun!    I know people are anxious to see progress on the Master Plan. The board approved the conceptual plan for the pavilion and is moving forward with getting bids for the design and construction. We also approved the multi-purpose court design, and the manager and MPC will be getting bids for that as well. (See below) The MPC has solicited professionals to get the most use out of the money our community has in capital funds. If you have questions about the process of adding the new amenities, please come to the monthly meetings. There is an update every month.   KSAT news is highlighting Alamo Ranch in their newest edition of Know My Neighborhood. It will air on November 15th in the evening and will be about a 20-minute episode highlighting our wonderful community. As the fastest growing community in San Antonio, they were eager to get interviews from people to find out "the good, the bad, and the frustrating of Alamo Ranch."    As always, I'm available by email for any questions or comments. The board requests your feedback. The board is seeking your input regarding a matter that was discussed during our recent meeting. Specifically, there was a proposal to extend the slide's operation to weekends throughout the month of October next year. It's worth noting that maintaining the slide's operation in October necessitates the presence of two lifeguards at all times. Presently, the company is facing challenges in guaranteeing adequate staffing due to the majority of our workforce being college and high school students who will be returning to school and sports commitments. Nonetheless, the company is committed to making every effort to secure the necessary staff for this additional month should we proceed. It's important to be aware that this extension would also entail an increase in the lifeguard budget allocation. Currently, the slide is only open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. *Please understand that the outcome of this survey will not be the sole factor influencing the board's decision. It is simply an effort to gauge the community's perspective on this matter.

Recipes of the Month!

HOA Assessments Your HOA 4th Quarter Assessments were due on October 1, 2023. They are now considered late. Payments can be made at the office during regular business hours or can be dropped off in the after-hours drop box if after 5 PM via check, cashier's check, or money order (made out to ARCA). Make sure to include your account number/ARCA address. If you have questions regarding your account or need to set up a payment plan, please call the Association Office at 210-740-4976.
