Saturday with Santa:
Last Call for Volunteers!
Saturday with Santa is less than three weeks away ! At this annual Christmas party for children and families experiencing homelessness , we anticipate serving more than 500 children , infants through adolescents, and their families residing in area shelters. We will provide them with a special day of family fun and holiday-themed activities, including a visit with Santa, lunch, carnival games, and arts and crafts. Each child will receive a stocking and a toy to brighten their holiday season, and parents will receive special gifts as well.
Although most of our day-of volunteer spots are full, we are still looking for a few more volunteers for pre-event setup on Friday, Dec. 13 . Additionally, we still need donations of 15 to 20 more stockings for elementary-aged children . Please contact Volunteer & Events Manager Sunni Roaten with questions or for more information.
Good Works Under 40:
Congrats to the Finalists!
On Nov. 6, we were so proud to attend the Good Works Under 40 awards ceremony and honor Rainbow Days' former board president Katie Anand , who was selected as a top-five finalist . This awards program, which is held by the Dallas Foundation, recognizes up-and-coming leaders under 40 in Dallas who are serving their community in wonderful ways.

Congratulations to Katie (second from left) -- and to the other four finalists! We are grateful for Katie's service and tremendous impact on Rainbow Days, the children we serve and our community.
Media Spotlight:
Dallas ISD + United Way
We are honored to be featured in a wonderful video for Dallas ISD's United Way employee giving campaign! This video shows how Rainbow Days' Family Connection team, in partnership with the Dallas ISD Homeless Education Program , serves children living in motels through an after-school program at Maple Lawn Elementary School .

Rainbow Days cherishes our continued partnerships with our wonderful friends at Dallas ISD , United Way and Maple Lawn ! Together, we can make a true difference in the lives and futures of children in our community!
Volunteer Shoutout:
YMSL - Castle Hills
A HUGE volunteer shoutout to our amazing friends from the Young Men's Service League (YMSL) Castle Hills chapter! Over three weekends in November, the chapter's members dedicated their time (and muscles) to Rainbow Days to completely reorganize our storage space -- both in our office and offsite!

We are incredibly grateful for the 105 volunteers -- including young men and their mothers -- for everything they did for Rainbow Days.
