Rainbow Days in the News:
"Fighting Hunger" Feature
Recently, Rainbow Days' Project Hope food delivery program for low-income families living in motels was featured as part of NBC DFW's "Fighting Hunger" series. The story, which features interviews with Rainbow Days' staff as well as a single mother enrolled in the program, details how Project Hope has more than doubled – and nearly tripled – the number of families receiving food assistance since the onset of COVID-19.
Throughout the year, Rainbow Days relies on the support of individuals like you to fuel our critical programs, which provide social-emotional and tangible support for children and families in need. For example, your one-time donation of $40 provides a month's worth of food for one child in a household experiencing food insecurity.
This holiday season, we hope you will consider giving what you can to Rainbow Days to help us continue making an impact in the lives of vulnerable children in our community.
Family Connection Spotlight:
Help Us Spread Holiday Joy!
Each year, Rainbow Days provides stockings, toys and gifts for homeless children and families across Dallas. This year, our goal is to provide these items to over 1,000 children, youth and parents! We need your help to make the holidays bright for these special children and families.

Although we have decided to forgo our annual “Saturday with Santa” event due to the ongoing health crisis, Rainbow Days wants to make sure homeless children and families know we are thinking of and care about each of them during this difficult time. We need your help to let homeless families know, especially now, that we haven’t forgotten them this holiday season.

There are many ways to get involved and spread joy to children in need:

  1. Donations of toys and gifts, which can be purchased via the Saturday with Santa Amazon Wish List to be shipped directly to Rainbow Days’ offices, are needed no later than Monday, Nov. 30.
  2. We still need a few more stocking donations for children and parents. Sign up here to donate a stocking no later than Friday, Dec. 4.
  3. Rainbow Days is also looking for individual and corporate sponsors to provide financial support for our 2020 Saturday with Santa gift deliveries. Please contact Justin Eatherly for more information about sponsorship opportunities.

Thank you to each and every person who is helping Rainbow Days spread joy to homeless children and families in need this holiday season!
Community Connection Spotlight:
Red Ribbon Week
During the week of Oct. 26-30, Rainbow Days' Community Connection team worked hard to spread prevention messaging and educate kids on the importance of healthy choices and the consequences of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

Amidst COVID-19, the team adapted its Red Ribbon Week programming and got creative as they worked to reach at-risk kids via partnerships with local schools, recreation centers and other community-based sites. Through virtual presentations, campus decorations, social media engagement, and the distribution of red ribbons, pledge cards and other educational prevention material, Rainbow Days impacted more than 1,300 students and 120 adults this Red Ribbon Week!
