Tell us what's on your mind

NACM’s highest priority is meeting the needs of our members. Occasionally, we need to ask for your input to ensure we are doing that, and to understand how member needs are changing. We are asking that one person from each member company complete the brief annual member survey by November 1. It should only take about 10 minutes to complete and is anonymous unless you chose to share your name.

Thank you in advance for sharing your insights and thoughts with us. Hearing from you is critical to our ability to meet the needs of our members.

+ Member in Need +

On occasion, we learn of a member needing serious help. Long time member, Jim Albert (retired from Gensco) let us know recently that he has been diagnosed with end stage kidney disease. He is currently on dialysis while he remains on a list with other patients awaiting a kidney transplant. Jim asked us to pass along this news just in case someone in NACM land knows of a potential kidney donor. As Jim says "It only takes one!" If you would like more information about how you can help, we urge you to contact him directly by phone or clicking on the email address below. Thank you for your consideration.

Mortgage rates increased for a fourth straight week this week, suggesting the housing market could remain on the back foot for some time even as the Federal Reserve cuts interest rates.

The average rate on the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage rose to 6.54% from 6.44% last week. It averaged 7.79% during the same period a year ago.

REMEMBER TO SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD.

Daylight Savings Time goes away for yet another year and we get to reset our clocks to Standard Time. The best part is that our friends in Hawaii will now be two hours behind us instead of three! Otherwise, look for the flashing clocks on the stove, microwave and alarm clock!

Say thanks to your Congressional representatives for sitting on legislation for nearly three years that would keep DST permanent.

Speaking of elected ones...

REMEMBER TO VOTE

Turn in your ballot on or before November 5th. Your vote counts!
