November 2019 eNews: National Adoption Month!
|
|
From our Executive Director
|
|
|
Dear Friends of CAP,
November marks
National Adoption Month,
and we're celebrating it with great excitement. In 2000, National Adoption Month was created by a partnership of national organizations. Since then, all 50 states celebrate
National Adoption Day
the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Over 40,000 children have been adopted on this national day.
At CAP, we honor adoption all month--from the opening
Heart Gallery
reception on
November 5
portraying our waiting kids as superheroes, through
Adoption Day
at Monroe County Family Court
November 22
, and our
Gala on November 30
, we celebrate families coming together.
|
|
At this time of giving thanks, we extend our gratitude to Rochester and surrounding communities for supporting CAP and our kids waiting for their forever family. We look forward to seeing you at our events this adoption month!
All my best,
Lauri McKnight
