Treatment Drug Succeeds in Key Stomach Cancer Study
In a recent trial in Asia, Bristol-Myers Squibb's Opdivo extended survival for patients who did not respond to chemo. This is a big win for gastric cancer treatment, making Opdivo the first drug in its class to show a survival benefit in stomach cancer patients. Read more about the good news here!

Proceeds from this event will help finish endowing our American Gastroenterological Association/Gastric Cancer Foundation Research Scholar Award. This continuous program of 3-year research grants is awarded to outstanding young researchers, allowing them to focus their work on gastric cancer. This funding helps ensure that this enormous talent is not drawn away to other areas where funds are more readily available.

November Premier: PBS Documentary on Patient Journey
National Public Television is shedding light on the gastric cancer patient journey in a new documentary set to air this month. Sponsored by Lilly Oncology, the documentary will follow patients from diagnosis to treatment as well as highlight insights from leading oncologists and the research to help fight the disease.

"Exploration Heath - Revealing Unique Cancers" is scheduled to air over 100 times in the next year and will help increase understanding of gastric cancer nationwide. Check your local listings for viewing times.

Fighting a Smarter War Against Cancer
Fighting a Smarter War Against Cancer conference at Georgetown University next month offers a live stream of the Patient Symposium on Saturday, December 3rd. For groups interested in organizing a public viewing session, a live webcast can be arranged. CURE Connections will also be live taping portions of this symposium. Find more details here.
