Plan now to join us for two powerful, meaningful virtual events during November for Transgender Awareness Month.

Wednesday, November 20th is recognized across the nation and around the globe as the Transgender Day of Remembrance. This solemn occasion serves as an opportunity for us to come together in solidarity and community to pause, reflect, grieve and honor the memory of the transgender, nonbinary and gender nonconforming lives taken from this world due to acts of hatred, transphobia and violence.

We invite you join TransInclusive Group, The Pride Center, and our community partners and collaborators including Arianna's Center, SunServe, HRC South Florida, FLUX, The Poverello Center, South Florida Transgender Medical Consortium, and Talkin' T virtually as we unite with individuals, communities and organizations around the world to honor the memory of the transgender and gender nonconforming individuals whose lives were lost because of acts of transphobic violence and hate.

Our Transgender Day of Remembrance event will be held online on Facebook Live on Friday, November 20th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A panel discussion will be followed by a virtual memorial as we Say Their Names and honor the memory of those who have been lost.
On Monday, November 30th at 7 p.m., please join us for the 6th Annual Bishop SF Makalani Mahee Transgender Equality Awards, presented by TransInclusive Group, The Pride Center, and The Florida Department of Health in Broward County and held virtually this year on Facebook live.

Each year, awardees are nominated by the community representing transgender, non-binary and ally individuals, along with businesses and medical providers who have advanced Transgender Equality in the community. Awards are presented to an individual or business receiving the highest number of nominations in each of six categories.

Using the form linked below, please fill in your choice in the specified categories that you feel are deserving of this award along with the reason why and submit it by November 13, 2020:
