2021 Master Plan Update
Your Feedback is Essential

El Dorado Hills Community Service District (District) is updating
the parks and recreation facilities Master Plan. El Dorado Hills
residents are invited to help the District by participating in a short interactive survey, which can directly impact the direction of the
2021 Master Plan.

The Master Plan will guide the creation and maintenance of park
and recreation spaces and programs that support the health
and well-being of El Dorado Hills community members and our
environment. Your input is essential to the planning process.

A Message from Kevin Loewen, General Manager
Your Feedback is Essential

We work diligently to provide a multitude of programs and resources to our residents. From park management to community programs designed for all ages, to youth sports leagues and after school programs, your Community Services District strives to continually plan for and deliver state of the art equipment and programs to our region.

With over 50 years of serving El Dorado Hills, we have successfully managed nearly 300 acres of parks and open space and we would love the ability to provide even more amenities for the District. Ideas include enhancing our existing facilities with safety improvements, providing shade at all playgrounds, building-out Bass Lake Regional Park, a modern Community Center, and much more. With new parks and recreational programs comes a heightened cost. To continue our mission of developing new and improved amenities for our community, we will begin looking at new funding options and ways the community can assist in achieving these goals.

Cal Fire in the Teen Center Last Month
Emergency Crew set up to reconcile and audit North Complex West Zone Fire

Cal Fire who was overseeing the North Complex West Zone fire used the Teen Center last month. Tasks they accomplished included: processing, reconciling and auditing all matters related to combating the fire effort. Objects and services contracted from private companies include bulldozers, trailers, restrooms, tents, laundry services, and etc. They reviewed over 300 documents, so all items were accounted for and validated.

Happy to lend a hand to our friends at Cal Fire.

Community Pool
Your November update

The perfect fall weather is finally upon us and with that comes the ideal temperatures to complete the necessary work on the pool deck and pool interior, which will wrap up the project. The pool will remain drained while the contractor completes the resealing process. The pool deck will be receiving the color seal and enhancements over the next three weeks. Our contractor and staff are meeting weekly to review project status so that we can provide our User Groups and Community the most up-to-date status. As of now, the pool decking and interior are on track for being complete by mid-December. Stay tuned for more updates!

The District is conducting a community-wide, interactive survey to learn more about what you and your family would like to see over the next five years. Have you taken the survey yet? https://bit.ly/3k5ok1f
Why is Kalithea Park Closed?
Renovation Update

Kalithea Park has been closed for Renovation. Over the past several weeks staff have completed repairs and applied a fresh coat of paint to the backstop, stone fascia has begun being installed on the new restroom building, the playground equipment has been inspected and new parts are on their way to address a few issues that were found. A new drinking fountain has been ordered and will be installed soon. The necessary soils test was completed on the turf and an irrigation audit is beginning the first week of November. Next will come the full turf renovation, which we plan to have completed to reopen the park by late spring.

As a reminder, we do have No Trespassing signs posted to keep everyone safe while we continue to make several park improvements. Please contact the Parks Department directly for questions or additional information at (916) 933-6624x0.
