Indigenous Health & Food Sovereignty on Nov 4: Grow Food Northampton presents Jus Crea Giammarino. Dr. Giammarino has lectured extensively on Native American Herbology and leads ethnobotanical tours. She teaches Native American cultures, histories and traditions. Previously she taught Nutrition at Springfield College and was a primary care physician in Brattleboro, VT. Currently Dr. Giammarino practices Naturopathic Medicine in Springfield, MA treating people of all ages. INFO

Illuminating the experiences of military veterans and families

Because the mission of the COSA JEDI team, (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) is to “increase BIPOC participation and engagement in COSA at all levels, including board membership and leadership, to represent the strengths and needs of the BIPOC community of Hampshire County,” the JEDI team warmly invites non-profit organizations and agencies serving the BIPOC community, advocating for the BIPOC community, and those that are led by BIPOC community members to join COSA. In particular, the JEDI team is eager to welcome new members. If you would like to join the JEDI team, email cosahc@gmail.org and the message will get to the JEDI team leadership.

Join COSA for the return of the Provider's Fair! Gather with colleagues from organizations throughout Hampshire County. This tabling event provides the opportunity to network, share news about your programming, discuss trends, and discover resources.


COSA's Annual Meeting will also take place at this event. Hear reporting on the past year and plans for the future. All COSA members are welcome to take part in the election of Board officers and members.

Join NLIHC's Opportunity Starts at Home (OSAH) campaign on Nov 9 at 2:30 pm for “Multi-Sector Advocacy: A Look Ahead,” a virtual event that will unveil the campaign’s robust plans for 2024 and explore how advocates can become part of the movement for housing justice. During the virtual event, the OSAH campaign will release its newest campaign video, which features OSAH leaders discussing why it is such a critical time for the campaign and what they hope to see from non-housing sectors and their advocates. The event will also feature a series of live interviews with leaders in the faith, climate justice, local government, and food security sectors. INFO & REGISTER

Trauma-Informed Hampshire County presents THE ANTIDOTE film, shown in collaboration with the Smith College Psychology Department, on Wed. Nov. 15 from 5-7 pm at Seelye Hall on the Smith campus (open parking on campus after 5 pm in any white lined spaces). THE ANTIDOTE explores addressing trauma and divisiveness in the world with kindness and compassion. Discussion afterwards facilitated by Dr. Nnamdi Pole, Dean of Smith’s Psych Dept. Registration HERE is appreciated.
