On this upcoming Veterans Day, we remember that service takes many forms, defending, protecting, rebuilding, and healing. Your strength continues to inspire and ground us. To every veteran walking the path toward healing, know that you are not alone. We honor your service and stand beside you as you continue your journey toward wellness.

Monthly Resource Tip

Image of veteran with folded hands

When a loved one is living with PTSD, small, consistent actions can make a big difference. This month’s resource tip is to build a calm communication plan for your household.

Create a short list of “grounding” cues, simple words, gestures, or routines that everyone agrees on to signal when a person needs space, support, or quiet time.

Encourage family members to use these signals before stress escalates. This practice can reduce misunderstandings and help everyone feel safer and more connected. For additional guidance, the National Center for PTSD offers free family toolkits, videos, and self-help worksheets.

Thanksgiving is also coming up at the end of the month, and the VA has a great article on Tips for Managing Stress Around the Holidays.

Staff Spotlight
Daniel King, BBA, MCSE – IT Director

Dan King

Dan's approach to IT leadership is built on a solid foundation of technical skills and strategic thinking, as well as never forgetting those that use the equipment.

His journey began in the Air Force National Guard repairing electronic interface components for fighter jets. His primary station was Air Defense, and he was activated to support after 9/11. He was also deployed to the middle east four times. He finished his career in the Retention office where he worked with young airman to maximize benefits and establish long term career goals. Through this experience, he gained disciplined systems and electronics expertise as well as an understanding of how these systems affected individuals.

Utilizing military provided educational resources, he was able to complement his experience with a degree in Computer Science and one in Business Administration. These degrees and Microsoft Certifications allowed him to bridge the gap between technology and organizational strategy.

As WestBridge's IT Director, Dan leverages this background to drive efficiency and to support the WestBridge staff. Key accomplishments include modernizing internal processes by successfully deploying SharePoint across the organization and enabling vital systems integration, such as ensuring our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) works seamlessly with the existing clinical systems.
