MCCA OER Reporting - Fall 2024

MCCA OER Reporting for Fall 2024 is in full swing. Thank you to those institutions who have already shared data. If you have not uploaded your data to the OER Reporting section of the Michigan Transfer Network website, now is the time. This voluntary reporting helps track OER savings, demonstrates return on investment, and makes a collective statement regarding student cost savings due to OER adoption and use. This data and information benefit the entire Michigan OER community. The deadline for uploading the Fall 2024 data is November 30. Looking ahead to next semester, mark your calendars for March 14, 2025, the deadline set for the Winter OER Reporting deadline (the collection space for Winter is currently open).  

Expanded Reporting

At the recent MI OER Network Conference in September, MCCA shared its vision to expand OER Reporting beyond community colleges to encompass all Michigan higher education institutions. When OER Reporting began in Michigan, the effort was primarily the domain of community colleges. Today OER efforts are common in most institutions of higher education. Participation by four-year institutions in OER Reporting offers the opportunity to strengthen the story of OER in Michigan and provide comprehensive data from throughout the state. The Michigan Transfer Network website is equipped to easily add 4-year public and private institutions to the OER Reporting list and that process began with the addition of two 4-year institutions for Fall 2024 reporting.
