Dear Friends, Welcome to the Holistic Child Health Newsletter. The goal of my holistic pediatric practice, and of this newsletter, is to inform and support parents to become more empowered as the primary health care providers for their children. Extending far beyond Western medicine's conventional treatments, holistic medicine and mindful parenting allow us to boost children's natural immunity, support their optimum health and wellness, safely heal any illnesses, and prevent disease-without dangerous side effects. Holistic medicine provides us with the tools to nurture the physical, emotional, social and spiritual health of your children. Over the coming months and years, I intend to use this newsletter to address some of your concerns as parents, share information that you might want to add to your knowledge base, and inform you of important issues and current events that are happening in the news, and in your area.

NYS Health Commissioner Illegally Overrides
Mercury-Free Vaccine Law
Children and Pregnant Women Will Be Injected
with Highly Toxic Mercury
In a move that would make Big Brother proud, Howard Zucker, the New York State Commissioner of Health, has decided to illegally override Public Health Law Section 2112 that requires only thimerosal (mercury)-free flu shots for pregnant women and children under an age of three years. The only circumstance that allows Zucker to override the law is if he determines "it is necessary to prevent or respond to an outbreak of disease and there are insufficient amounts of vaccine containing the mercury levels described in subdivision one, two or three of this section to adequately protect the public health." Yet in the letter Zucker issued overriding the New York law he wrote that he, "has determined that it appears that there will be an adequate supply of thimerosal-free seasonal influenza vaccine for the 2016-2017 influenza season for vaccination of pregnant women and children under the age of three years." Zucker continues, "In those instances when health care providers have in good faith sought out influenza vaccine that complies with PHL §2112, but such vaccine cannot be obtained or has been ordered but not yet received, children less than 3 years of age and pregnant women should be vaccinated with available influenza vaccine." New York law requires Zucker to find a shortage, he admits there is no shortage, yet he overrides the law anyway!

None of Zucker's predecessors saw the need to override this law since it became effective in 2008, and the supply of mercury-free flu shots has more than doubled since then. The use of mercury in vaccines as a preservative is an obsolete technology that has been discontinued or banned in all developed countries. It is only used in vaccines intended for use in developing countries and the US.
An internal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study conducted by Thomas Verstraeten, MD, and presented at the Simpsonwood Conference center in 2000 found that children who received mercury-containing vaccines in the first month of life had seven times as much autism as those who received no mercury in vaccines.
No safety studies have ever been done on the risks associated with injected pregnant women with thimerosal containing vaccines.
Commissioner Zucker admits there is no shortage of mercury-free flu shots. Commissioner Zucker is violating the law. Commissioner Zucker must rescind his illegal directive immediately.

CDC Requests Your Comments Regarding The MMR And The MMRV Vaccines; Let's Give Our All To Them Now!
Immediately upon the 'heels' of the closed comment period for the CDC's Proposed Rulemaking regarding its power grab on communicable diseases and quarantines, including forced vaccinations, etc., (
see my article about that) the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have opened a rather interesting request for comments about a most controversial set of vaccines: the Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccine and the Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV) vaccine.

Please plan on attending an event entitled "Confronting Vaccine Resistance" which will be coming to the
New York University Langone Medical Center
on November 21, 2016 from 12 noon until 3 pm, in Alumni Hall B at 550 First Avenue in Manhattan.
It isn't known yet whether the event is open to the public.
Repeated calls and emails to NYU Langone have not been returned.
Regardless of whether the event is public or not there will be a public gathering to greet this extraordinary collection of the leading spokespeople for the forcible vaccination of children, and increasingly adults, in the United States.
Similar to 27 other states the vaccine industry unsuccessfully attempted to repeal religious exemption rights in New York this year. We fully expect them to be back in the next legislative session to try again. We believe that this event is related to a renewed effort in New York and other northeastern states
to repeal exemption rights.
Speakers Include:
State Senator Richard Pan, Pan is the sponsor of California's Senate Bill SB 277, which eliminated personal belief exemptions from vaccine mandates in California.
Dorit Reiss, despite not having a law license in any state Reiss is a faculty member at the University of California's Hastings Law School. Her production of scholarly work is limited to promoting forced vaccination. She is also noted for a prodigious output of comments online, sometimes hundreds of comments in a single day, all focused on promoting the vaccine industry and forced vaccination.
Paul Offitt, vaccine developer and proponent of seizing children and vaccinating them against parent's wishes, censoring media that includes information critical of any aspect of the vaccine industry, and revoking the license of any physician whose practice or opinions vary in anyway from those currently promoted by the vaccine industry.
A panel will include:
Art Caplan, Director of Bioethics (sic) at the NYU Langone Medical Center,
Bernard Dreyer, President of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a trade association which recently adopted a policy opposed to all exemptions to vaccine mandates for religious or issues of conscience.
Adam Ratner, an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Langone Medical Center.
David Oshinsky, a historian and Director of the Division of Medical Humanities at NYU Langone.
The event is underwritten by William Berkley, NYU Trustee, NYU Langone Medical Center, and Chair of the NYU Board of Trustees.

Dr. Palevsky is a board certified pediatrician who utilizes a holistic approach in his work with children and families. Dr. Palevsky received his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine in 1987, completed a 3-year pediatric residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, and enrolled in a 1-year fellowship training program in the out-patient department at Bellevue Hospital/NYU School of Medicine. Since 1991, his clinical experience has included working in pediatric emergency medicine at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in the Bronx, NY, serving as the Chief of the Pediatric Acute Care Unit at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC, and working in in-patient and out-patient pediatric medicine, neonatal intensive care medicine, and newborn and delivery room medicine. Dr. Palevsky has also worked in a conventional, holistic and integrative pediatric practice at the NYC Beth Israel Center for Health & Healing- an integrative and complementary care medical facility. Currently, he runs his own holistic pediatric practice in Northport, NY and Manhattan. Dr. Palevsky teaches holistic integrative pediatric & adolescent medicine to parents, and medical and allied health professionals, both nationally & internationally.
