Praise the Lord, I tell myself and never forget the good things he does for me. Psalms 103:3, NLT

In a recent sermon, the minister challenged everyone to compile a list of items they were thankful for during the past year. He said it would be helpful to do as we prepared for the Thanksgiving holiday, so we would never forget the many blessings God had bestowed on each of us. 

In spite of his troubles, David did not want to forget the good things God had done for him. So he compiled a list in the book of Psalms outlining some of God's blessings towards him. Below are some of the items he included:

• Forgiveness of his sins
• Healing of his diseases
• Ransomed from death
• Surrounded with love and mercy
• Blessed with good things
• Renewed with strength 
• Showered with mercy and grace
• Displayed unconditional love
