November 2020 Newsletter
Dear valued member,

While this Thanksgiving may not be exactly as we had planned, it still reminds us to pause and give thanks for the blessings in our lives. On behalf of the LPEA team, I want to thank YOU, our members. We feel grateful to live and work in this amazing community with you, and even more so during the challenging times of 2020.

As a not-for-profit electric cooperative, LPEA exists to deliver you reliable and affordable electricity. But more than that, we are also a community partner and resource.

If you are having trouble paying your bill, or want to explore a new heating system or electric vehicle, or just want to better understand your electricity use to decrease your bill each month, contact us. We are here to support.

Read on to learn more about the latest programs, events, and news from LPEA.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Giving Back
The holidays are a time for giving, and there are TWO opportunities coming up for members who want to give back this season.

From November 30th until January 29th, LPEA will accept donations to our Giving Tree Program. Members can donate to a specific account, or give a general donation to people struggling to pay their electric bill during the holiday season. Donation envelopes and drop boxes are available at the drive-through lanes of the Durango and Pagosa Springs offices.

The Holiday Blanket & Clothing Drive (formerly the Project Merry Christmas Blanket Drive) is still a go for 2020. Four Corners Broadcasting will host a live remote broadcast from the LPEA parking lot on December 19th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Listeners and members are encouraged to drop off clothing and blanket donations to support the La Plata Family Centers Coalition.
