A couple friends and I flew into Atlanta, rented a car, and drove to Charleston, South Carolina for 3 days and then to Savannah, Georgia for 2 days. Both cities were rich in history and food. If in Charleston I would recommend doing a carriage ride tour of the city. We stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton and would highly recommend them. Savannah was a great place to go also and seemed to have a little more to offer with things to see, restaurants, and nightlife. Below are some pics.
