Countdown to the Annual Business Conference/Meeting (ABC/M) 2025

The Annual Business Conference/Meeting, is the voice and conscience for our world services and of S.L.A.A. as a whole. Registered Intergroups and groups without an intergroup, are entitled to send delegates to the ABC/M. 


ABC/M 2025, August 7 -10 (Central Time) will be virtual.


Co-work spaces are encouraged for fellowship and community. Find Co-work locations. If you are planning a co-work space, or would like information on hosting one, please contact our webmaster so we can share it online and others can join you! 


The registration fee for a Delegate is US$250 (US$275 after June 23, 2025) and for a non-Delegate Observer is US$125 (US$150 after June 23, 2025).

Halfway Through the Fiscal Year, S.L.A.A. Is Ahead of Budget and Last Year

 

At the end of March, S.L.A.A. completed the first half of our fiscal year. Due to the generous contributions of our members, groups, and intergroups, revenue exceeded expenses for this six-month period, and there was no need to withdraw money from our Prudent Reserve to pay our bills. Please contribute what you can! Our first fiscal-half financials is considerably ahead of budget for the first six months of the year, where we had a target of $3K of income-in-excess-of-expenses. Our financial performance is also ahead of the same six months last year, where we were net positive $8K:

Greetings from the Lonestar State! 

Spring is in full effect here in South Texas, with fields awash in wildflowers in every color of the rainbow. Not being a native Texan, I am still awed by a vista of bluish-purple bluebonnets as far as the eye can see. Along with red clover, orange trumpet vine, yellow black-eyed Susan, white Queen Anne’s lace, and many others, even the cow pastures and highway medians are beautiful here this time of year. The Board of Trustees (BOT) voted to meet twice per month instead of the normal monthly meetings to address issues usually addressed during the two full weekend days of meetings prior to the ABC/M (e.g., determining BOT comments for the ABC/M motions and IFDs).
