Registration is now open for the stand-alone FAFP Virtual ABFM KSA Study Group: Musculoskeletal that will be presented via Zoom on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 6:30pm-9:00pm EST. Fulfill your ABFM MOC requirements and CLICK HERE to register today. The registration deadline is Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11:59pm EST.

 

You will earn 10 certification points and 8 enduring (not live) CME credits after successful completion of each KSA; ABFM will award these certification points and enduring CME credits.

FAFP August Member Spotlight - Dr. Matt Jorgensen

"Hello! I am a second-year resident at the University of Florida. I call both Florida and Minnesota home, and completed my medical school training in Mississippi. I have a lovely wife and soon to be one-year-old son. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends/family, watching/playing sports, and being outdoors with my two dogs. I hope to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship and practice in Florida."

Save the Date for the 2024 Family Medicine Winter Summit

Online registration and the hotel room block for the 2024 FAFP Family Medicine Winter Summit will be opening soon! The meeting is scheduled for December 6-8, 2024 at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, and will be held as a hybrid event, giving attendees the option to register for either traditional, In-Person attendance or remote, Virtual attendance presented via live streaming.

Final Deadline Approaching for Student, Resident Leadership Roles

There’s still time for students and residents to take the lead this academic year, but the final deadline for national family medicine leadership positions is approaching on Sept. 6. The AAFP encourages student members to take advantage of these opportunities to network, learn new skills and strengthen their CVs.

Deadline for AAFP Degree of Fellow Applications – Aug. 30

August 30, 2024 is the deadline to apply for the Degree of Fellow designation in time to be recognized during the 2024 Family Medicine Experience (FMX). Degree of Fellow recognizes members who have distinguished themselves by demonstrating commitment to family medicine through service, professional development and advancing health care.
