Premier Honeycrisp

Premier Honeycrisp was discovered in 2010 in Adams County, Pennsylvania, when they noticed one Honeycrisp tree producing ripe apples nearly three weeks earlier than the rest. This naturally occurring mutation became the Premier Honeycrisp we know today! Their flavor is wonderfully sweet with a refreshing hint of tartness and a clean, satisfying crunch. They're great for baking, applesauce, salads, and other fresh recipes.

Sweet MAIA

The Sweet MAIA apple, first released in 2017 as part of the Midwest Apple Improvement Association's (MAIA) breeding program, was specifically developed to thrive in Midwest climates. True to its name, this apple delivers a sweet, crisp flavor with low acidity, appealing to those who enjoy mild, dessert-like apples. Its bright red skin and firm, juicy flesh make it a popular snacking apple.

Shinsui (Asian Pears)

Shinsui pears are a Japanese Asian pear variety released in Japan in 1965. They are small to medium-sized with a round, slightly flattened shape and golden-brown, russeted skin. Their white flesh is crisp, fine-textured, and incredibly juicy, with a rich sweetness balanced by a refreshing hint of tartness. Shinsui pears are best enjoyed fresh and are a delicious, refreshing summer snack. The name “Shinsui” means “new water,” a fitting name for an exceptionally juicy pear!

Gingergold

The Ginger Gold apple has a cool origin story set in Virginia. This apple was discovered after a hurricane. They found this strange tree growing fruit during cleanup efforts.

It was discovered that this apple was derived from Golden Delicious, Albemarle Pippin, and a third unidentifiable cultivar. Juicy and tart, this apple is perfect for eating and for salads.

Zestar

This sweet-tart apple was intentionally created in the early 20th century, in Illinois, as a summer variety that farmers could grow and sell before the maincrop season arrived.

Pristine apples are round to oblate in shape and have a somewhat uniform appearance with light ribbing. The semi-thick skin is smooth, waxy, glossy, and green, yellow, ripening to a bright yellow when mature, and is sometimes spotted with faint, red-orange blush. They are a perfect apple for baking and cooking.

Sansa

Sansa apples are sweet and juicy with a little tang.

They were developed in the 1970's in Japan, in collaboration with New Zealand. It is a cross between Akane and Gala varieties. This bright red apple is streaked with yellow. Sansas are best used for eating fresh. They make a great addition to charcuterie boards

Paula Red

Paula Red apples were developed in Michigan in the 1960's. The apple was named after the developer's wife, Pauline. This small- to medium-sized apple is crisp, juicy, sweet-tart, and known for its winey flavor. You can use this apple for cooking, fresh eating, making apple sauce, and flavorful pies.

Wildfire Gala

Wildfire Gala is an early-ripening strain of the Gala apple. They originated in New Zealand and was developed by crossing Kidd's Orange Red with Golden Delicious. Wildfire Galas are sweet, juicy, and crisp, making them especially delicious right off the tree. They're wonderful for snacking, packing in lunches, slicing into salads, or enjoying as a naturally sweet dessert.

Red Free

Red Free apples were released in Indiana in 1981. They have a smooth glossy skin with 80-90% medium washed to slightly striped, red on a yellow ground. Their taste is mild, making them a delicious summer snack. 

Jersey Mac

Jersey Mac apples were developed in 1971 in New Jersey. They're an early version of the McIntosh apple. Their size is medium to large with a yellow base and washed with deep red. Jersey Mac apples have a greenish white flesh and are a balanced sweet tart in flavor. This apple is perfect for cider, desserts, eating, pie making, and apple sauce.  

Viking

Viking apples originated in South Dakota in the early 1900's. This apple is bold maroon with an almost purple-ish flush, crisp and juicy with a sweet-tart flavor. They are typically large apples, round, smooth, and glossy. Vikings are a complex cross between

 Jonathan, Red Delicious, Malus floribunda, William's Early Red, Early McIntosh, Starr, and Rome Beauty apples. Vikings are perfect for cider, dessert, juice, pie, and sauces.

Dandee Red

Dandee Red apples are very similar to Paula Red apples. Developed in the '60s, these apples originate from Ohio. This apple is a dessert apple, meaning that its best use is for eating. Its flavor is pleasingly tart and has a nice crisp.
