Now Scheduling:
Pfizer COVID Vaccine | Ages 12+

We have an update to our prior communications about COVID vaccine from PHCA.

We are now able to offer the Pfizer COVID vaccine, which has FDA and CDC authorization for ages 12 years and older!

To help meet the needs of our patients in a timely manner, we will be offering Saturday vaccine clinics at multiple PHCA locations starting May 22. PHCA patients from all offices can receive the vaccine at these clinics. The vaccine can also be available for patients with previously scheduled weekday visits at all PHCA locations (such as a wellness visit).

Please see below for everything you need to know.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Pfizer COVID Vaccine at PHCA
What You Need to Know
Please call your primary pediatrician's office to schedule your COVID vaccine appointment at our Saturday clinics. All offices will have access to schedule appointments at these clinics.

You will be asked to schedule your appointments in advance for both the first and second dose.

Vaccine doses will be administered inside the office in a private exam room. After a dose is administered, patients will need to remain on site for an observation period.

NOTE: We may be able to give the vaccine at previously scheduled weekday office visits (such as a wellness visit). If you would like your child to receive the vaccine at an upcoming scheduled visit, please let your office know in advance.

PHCA will now be offering the Pfizer vaccine, which has emergency authorization for ages 12+ only.

The Pfizer vaccine is a series of two doses administered 21 days apart.

As a reminder, at PHCA we provide care for established patients through age 21.
The CDC has also updated their guidance to allow COVID-19 vaccine to be administered at the same time as other routine vaccines.

While we will not be administering any other vaccines at our Saturday clinics, this does mean patients can receive a COVID vaccine dose along with any other scheduled vaccines at a wellness visit or other weekday office visit.
Before additional COVID-19 vaccines are authorized for younger children, clinical trials need to be completed to ensure they are safe and effective for these age groups. Once the trials have been completed and the information is available, the ACIP will review it and make vaccine recommendations for younger children.

Our goal at PHCA is to keep families fully informed regarding the COVID-19 vaccine for children. We will continue to share information with our patients and families when a COVID-19 vaccine becomes available for younger children.
