Celeberate Noon Year's Eve with Mr. Aaron!

Let's sing, dance, and countdown to Noon with Mr. Aaron! This interactive and energetic music program gets the kiddos movin' and groovin'. Towards the end, we'll count down to noon, and even sing a little Auld Lang Syne to get us ready for the new year. Recommended for ages 8 and under. Registration required.

Changes to our New Items Newsletters

Starting in January, we are switching to a new service provider, Wowbrary, for our New Items newsletters. Current subscribers will be automatically switched over. If you are not a subscriber but would like to learn about our newest items, we'll share information on how to subscribe next month.

The Votes are In for the After Hours Spring Event!

This November, we held an informal vote asking teens to vote on which After Hours Spring Event they’d like to see in the library. Well, the votes are in and we have a landslide winner… LASER TAG!

The date for this event is TBD – stay tuned to our newsletter, socials, and our online calendar for details as we have them!  Thank you to all who took the time to vote!

Playaways are Here!

We are excited to bring Playaways into our Howe Library Collection! You can find them on our YA Audiobook shelf located between our YA Nonfiction collection and our Teen Resource collection. Contact Kim Baker, our Teen Librarian, with questions about Playaways or title suggestions.

If you aren’t familiar with Playaways, they are a device with a full audiobook preloaded for a listener. Add your headphones, or an AUX cable to connect the device to a stereo system, and a AAA battery to start listening.

For those wondering, Children’s Playaways are coming soon as well. Stay tuned for future developments!

Starting in January: Graphic Novel Book Club

Are you a fan of vibrant illustrations, gripping stories, and the exciting world of graphic novels? Whether you’re a lifelong reader or new to the medium, our Graphic Novel Book Club is the perfect space to dive into amazing narratives and art. Join us on the 4th Wednesday of every month to explore a new graphic novel and discuss the intricacies of visual storytelling! January's Book is The Secret to Superhuman Strength, by Alison Bechdel. Books are avaliable at the Information Desk.
