Miniature Painting for Beginners

For Teens Ages 13-19 (Grades 7-12)

Curious about painting minifigures but aren’t sure where to start? Join us for a casual afternoon of miniature painting. Bring your own mini or paint one of ours (you keep what you paint!)

Hybird: College Town Conversations: Darwin, Colonialism, and the Lost Tribes of the Fuegian Archipelago

with Professor Laura Ogden, Dartmouth College

Anthropologist Laura Ogden will discuss the ongoing legacy of Charles Darwin in the Fuegian Archipelago of southernmost Chile, with particular focus on the ways Darwin’s depictions of Indigenous people in the region continues to shape the present. Her talk is based on a decade of research in the region, including collaborations with ranchers, conservation organizations, and the Yagán Indigenous community.

Build a Bug Shelter with Professor Bugman

This event is for ages 5-9 and is not recommended for children under the age of 5.

Animals need shelter, and it's up to your children to use our forest-gathered materials to build a shelter fit for a bug. Not just any bug, but our residential judge, Mr. Cranky B. Cockroach! Will he approve of your shelter and find safety within, or will he hiss and make his way to more suitable real estate?
