The CDPHE Air Pollution Control Division has released an executive summary, overview, and dataset for the 2025 Greenhouse Gas Inventory. These new resources are in addition to the report to the state legislature that the division published in December 2025. The inventory includes emissions data for 2005 through 2023 and projected future emissions for 2024 through 2050. The division is required to release an updated Greenhouse Gas Inventory at least every two years under Senate Bill 19-096. The inventory provides the most accurate information on the state’s emissions activity based on currently available data.
The inventory includes emissions for:
- Energy.
- Industrial Processes and Product Use.
- Agriculture.
- Land Use, Land-Use Change, and Forestry.
- Waste.
In early 2026, the division will release the full report and update the Greenhouse Gas Inventory Explorer.
The division will also host public meetings on the greenhouse gas inventory chapters in spring 2026. The meetings will summarize the results and dive into the methodologies the division used to analyze data. The division will announce the meeting dates and times when they are available for registration.
