This powerful and funny play is about caring for those we love while we ourselves are dealing with illness. "Marvin’s Room" by Scott McPherson follows the story of Bessie and her estranged sister, Lee, who are forced back into each other’s lives to confront a family crisis. Winner of the 1991–1992 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play and the 1991–1992 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Play, "Marvin’s Room" deals with themes of empathy, loneliness, and dying with both humor and heart.
