As a seasoned human resources professional, I expected CFI to have competitive benefits.
But when I came here just over a month ago, I was surprised by the number and quality of programs CFI offers its employees.
For instance, CFI's employee assistance program, FEI, offers a myriad of services to help employees navigate any troubled waters in their lives. FEI offers:
- Short-term counseling to help deal with stress, enhance personal relationships, tackle parenting challenges and more.
- Financial consultations to help staff manage expenses and debt, plan for retirement, pay off student loans.
- Legal services to help with a bankruptcy or foreclosure, purchase a home, help with adoption or child custody case.
What's even more impressive, is CFII's Benefits Team works with the employee assistance program to tailor programs that suit employees' needs. After feedback from employees, we started a monthly grief support group, routinely hold sessions on caregiver stress, and have a quarterly "What's Going On?" session that allows employees to safely and confidentially convene to talk about issues such as race disparity and other topical subjects.
