NOW OPEN: 19th Annual California Hall of Fame Exhibition


Explore the lives and legacies of the 19th class of the California Hall of Fame in an all-new artifact exhibit featuring photos and memorabilia on loan from inductees, including Arnold Schwarzenegger’s leather jacket from 1991’s “Terminator 2,” Janet Evans’ 1992 Olympic Opening Ceremony uniform, a clapperboard from Jamie Lee Curtis’ 1983 hit “Trading Places,” and more. 

The California Hall of Fame exhibit also features artifacts from the posthumous inductees of the all-women 18th class of the California Hall of Fame, inducted in 2024: Julia Child, Ina Donna Coolbrith, Vicki Manalo Draves, Mitsuye Endo, Dian Fossey, Alice Piper, and Tina Turner.

Frank Fat's: A Taste of History

Historical Experience & Tasting at a Sacramento Culinary Landmark

Kick off AAPI Heritage Month with an exclusive, members-only journey behind the scenes at Sacramento's oldest restaraunt, Frank Fat's. Hosted by Frank’s youngest son, Jerry Fat, and grandson, Kevin Fat, this event offers a rare perspective on the family’s journey from China to the heart of Sacramento. Since 1939, this political landmark has served as the backdrop for California history; now, you can hear the family’s inspiring immigrant story firsthand, plus sample the iconic flavors that made Frank Fat a legend.

Save the Date: Big Day of Giving is May 7



Big Day of Giving is right around the corner! Help us provide scholarships for youth in need, uplift diverse voices via our exhibits, and fund Museum access for under-resourced families.


Early giving starts April 23, leading up to a 24-hour fundraiser on May 7. If we reach our fundraising goal by midnight on May 7, we'll host a free admission day later this year!

Steve Sasaki: Docent on Duty in "Uprooted"

April 17: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm

May 2: 12 pm – 2 pm


Steve Sasaki, an expert docent at the Museum, would love to share his knowledge with you! Join him in Uprooted: An American Story to hear about his family’s experiences of incarceration during World War II. Steve offers a Q&A as you pass through, or a full guided exhibit tour on topics such as coming to America, life in the incarceration camps, and returning home after WWII. Learn more here.

Simply show your SNAP EBT card at the ticket counter and pay $2 per person (up to four people per card) for reduced general admission.

The Museum is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm

and Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm.
