Where's Dieter Brewing?
Lise and Bob Dews, owners of Whiteside Brewing Company are excited to announce that Dieter Kuhn will be the Brewmaster for our brewery in planning. Dieter comes to us after spending the past 13 years running Heinzelmannchen Brewery in Sylva, NC alongside his wife Sheryl Rudd. Construction of Whiteside Brewing Co. (WBC) is currently underway and has a target opening of spring 2018. WBC is located at the crossroads of Cashiers in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.
At a recent gathering to celebrate Dieter's involvement with Whiteside Brewing CO Dieter said, "Our dreams don't always happen how we anticipate. However, our dream is still alive but has involved closing Heinzelmannchen Brewery and joining forces with Lise & Bob Dews' exciting project, Whiteside Brewing Company. Their generosity, creativity, professionalism and community mindedness have brought us all together to create this dream. We are blessed and honored to be asked to be a part of this team and what will surely become a premier destination in North Carolina"
At the same event Bob Dews said, "Lise and I are ecstatic that Dieter has decided to join our team. His passion for brewing quality Bavarian style beers is unmatched. We know that his natural ability to create tasty brews coupled with our state of the art brewing equipment will be the perfect match. Answers to the Hints
1. Dieter will not be brewing in Sylva, in Cashiers
2. Dieter will be brewing in WNC, at the southern end of Jackson County!
3. The location of the brewery was in Totality, during the Eclipse, this week-Cashiers
4. We hiked part of the Appalachian Trail to Wayah Bald Wednesday then had dinner with the owners of the brewery - yes we hiked 4 hours, drove to Sylva, showered, changed then drove to Cashiers!
5. The Devil's Courthouse is nearby - A ledge on Whiteside Mountain!
6. There are streams, rivers, lakes and a greenway within a short distance
I forgot - waterfalls!!! The Village green is nearby and the greenway goes right between the Laurelwood Inn and Whiteside Mountain Brewing Company!
