Tracy Russell Executive Director Mother and Child Health Coalition
While the calendar marks a fresh start, Nurture KC’s ability to thrive requires a continuation of adaptability that we cultivated in 2020. Our primary focus has been on providing services to our families in a way that meets the moment. In 2021, these adjustments extend to Nurture KC beyond service delivery into sustaining the organization’s viability.

In that spirit, Nurture KC is partnering with Brown Button Estate Sales for our inaugural “Treasure Trove” estate sale with all net proceeds going to Nurture KC. Brown Button is synonymous with the highest quality merchandise and has a following in the tens of thousands across the metro. In recognition of its 10th anniversary, Brown Button is commemorating this milestone by giving back locally and we are honored to be the recipients. For more information about Brown Button Estate Sales, click here.

Our sale is open to the public Feb. 16 to 20. It is located at 7589 W. 119th Street in Overland Park in the former Lucas Liquor space. (See below article for more sale details.) Please join us and shop! Not only will you have access to fantastic home furnishings, but you get to support a great cause as well.

While we are thrilled with this new partnership, it is your continued support of Nurture KC that ensures our sustainability. Thank you for your dedication and willingness to participate in this event and others so that we may continue to serve Kansas City families in greatest need.

Our families 'Get Healthy with Healthy Start'

We kicked off 2021 encouraging families in our Healthy Start program to live a healthy lifestyle -- eating right, staying active and taking care of their mental health. Below are the winners to our contest asking: How is your family adopting a healthy lifestyle? These families will receive Heart Healthy cookbooks and salad kits from the American Heart Association.

“We know teaching healthy habits at an early age helps promote a lifetime of healthy habits for the entire family,” says Shannon Williams, Healthy Start Director. “It's exciting seeing our families ‘Get Healthy with Healthy Start.'"
