Nurture the Soul:

Building Up a New World with Fellows from Across 5 Conferences

Thursday April 18th at 1:30 p.m. Mountain Time, Laura and Laurie will present in the first of five webinars from UCC social justice fellows from across the country, sharing content from our family and Indigenous histories project.

Our Churches Sit in Places with Living Histories –

How shall we respond? Truth telling in community.

Places have Indigenous histories with stories that predate the founding of our churches.

In 1891, the University Congregational United Church of Christ in Missoula, Montana, signed their founding charter and the U.S. military forcibly removed the Bitterroot Salish to a reservation with an existing mission and faith-based boarding school. In this webinar Rev. Folkwein and Dr. Walker will demonstrate sharing stories from parallel histories to raise awareness, take responsibility for impacts on the present, and build hope for a more just future. Registration for one webinar gets you the same link for all of them on Thursdays at 1:30 p.m., April 18 - May 16.

Registration also gives access to recorded presentations.
