School Breakfast Legislative Briefing

Nearly 3 in 5 California public school students are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. Those resources help our most vulnerable students learn, grow, and achieve to their fullest potential - but millions of kids across the state are missing out on the benefits of school breakfast. With the 2015 California Legislative Session just a few months away, please join CFPA and a panel of experts to discuss key school breakfast policy issues and emerging opportunities, including:

  • State fiscal and economic impacts of expanding school breakfast
  • Effects of school breakfast policies on children's diets
  • School breakfast policies to support health and academic achievement

Tuesday | October 21, 2014 | 2:00pm to 3:00pm

CFPA's 2015 Policy

Development Survey Results

In August 2014, we surveyed stakeholders to learn more about the nutrition challenges facing California communities and to explore potential solutions to those challenges. An overview of the results of that survey is now available.

We will consider the survey results, input from stakeholder interviews, and review of our strategic plan, among other factors, as we develop our 2015 policy priorities. In the coming months we will share these priorities in the form of a legislative agenda, an administrative advocacy agenda, and a research agenda.
