Thank you to Par & Grill for catering our Open House! ✨
|
Denise Alosa (President) -
We held a customer open house at our newest location in Caribou, ME on June 23, 2023. Caribou has welcomed us with open arms, as the City Manager and many members of the Chamber of Commerce joined us for a ribbon cutting ceremony. The wacky, waving, inflatable, arm-flailing tube guys helped attract new and old customers to our new Route 1 location with lots of truck air horn honks as they went by.
The Caribou employees spit-shined the entire place and were excited to feed our guests some lunch provided by Par & Grill. Some of our vendors joined us in representing their products and assisted with raffle prizes and give aways. Thanks go out to Meritor, Caterpillar, Cummins, Paccar Parts and Kenworth. Way to go Caribou staff….your new location is bound to flourish! 🚚

Shelley Dutile (Service Manager) -
Londonderry techs had an amazing opportunity for a luncheon meeting with DSM Adam Conkel and Technical Service Manager Aaron Bereiter. The topics ranged from improving dwell time, rural vs. urban and how it affects the location and VECU architecture. Different types of cab controllers and hints/tips for recalls are a few examples. This was an open forum meeting with no set dialog. Londonderry looks forward to another meeting towards the end of the year.

Shelley Dutile (Service Manager) -
All customers are valued and control where they purchase and have their trucks serviced. Resource Waste/Stephen DeVito Trucking is a valued customer to Londonderry. Through the years they have purchased many trucks and use New England Kenworth for service and parts needs. Londonderry supplied a tote bag for each of their units that were filled with Kenworth goodies. David DeVito, VP of Operations and David Guilherme, Facility Manager were very surprised and appreciative

Larry Cobb (Regional Sales Manager) -
- Have you ever wondered why someone chooses to buy or not buy a product from you?
- Why did they say “yes” after so many times of saying “no”?
- What happened today that made them say yes to you?
- Is it your wonderful personality? Is it your good looks? Did they enjoy your latest joke of the day?
Or
- Was it my consistency of being there for them?
- Was it my honesty and openness?
- Was it my diligence and timeliness following up?
- Was it that you always answer the phone and immediately call back?
- Was it because you genuinely care about their business or the job they are faced with?
- Was it them realizing that among all their suppliers- you always go above and beyond to help?
It was all of these. Whether you’re selling parts over the counter or on the road, selling service hours or a major rebuild or selling a new or used truck. The reason they said yes was all of those attributes that demonstrated to the customer that you and New England Kenworth deserve their hard earned money. Even with Amazon and online shopping, people still buy from people they know, trust and like.
