CONGRATS CLASS OF 2025!
Surrounded by family and friends, the Class of 2025 celebrated a joyous commencement on the Lower Field. The ceremony included words of wisdom from Valedictorian Andrew Kerley ’25, and Salutatorian Taylor Harper ’25. “These memories and relationships will last a lifetime,” Andrew stated in his address. “A lifetime, hopefully built on O’Dowd’s values of social justice, community, and academic excellence.”

JEVON HOLLAND ’18: O’DOWD'S TOP HONOR
O’Dowd Dragon Jevon Holland ’18 - standout safety for the New York Giants - is this year’s Cor Unum Award honoree. Known for his leadership on and off the field, Jevon continues to give back through mentorship, philanthropy, and a deep commitment to O’Dowd’s mission. DRAGON JOINS VALKYRIES
After six years with the Golden State Warriors, Ryan Daniel ’13 has joined the Golden State Valkyries, the newest WNBA expansion team, as the Senior Marketing Manager. After playing soccer at University of Hawaii Wahine and earning her Bachelors in Sports Management, Ryan returned to California and earned her Masters in Sports Management from the University of San Francisco.

2025 MUSE
Our Journalism class released this year's edition of The Muse, our literary and art magazine. “This year’s theme, The Catalyst, invites us to reflect on what fuels creativity, resilience, and momentum,” states Editor-in-Chief Phoebe Aldrich ’25. CELEBRATING 23 YEARS OF SCIENCE TRIPS
Last month, 80 students and alumni gathered in the Living Lab and Center for Environmental Studies to celebrate more than two decades of immersive science trips. They worked in the gardens, shared a meal, and enjoyed sweeping views of the Bay Area, honoring a program that’s reached over 1,000 students through a 23-year partnership with Ecology Project International. “My trip to Costa Rica in 2002 was a turning point, sparking my passion for ecosystems and science,” says Sara Geunther ’04.

O'DOWD CONFIRMATION
We welcomed Bishop Barber to campus as we celebrated 20 students receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. A special sacrament that recognizes one's commitment to their Catholic faith, our students spent the last year in formation classes and are now fully initiated into the Catholic Church!

KEVIN DONAHUE ’63 received the prestigious Jim Echols Award at the 2025 California State Athletic Directors Association (CSADA). The award recognizes exceptional work for the CSADA during the previous year.

NICK MACCARONE ’98 wrote, produced, and played the lead in the feature film Sonny Boy. The film won the Audience Choice Award for best feature narrative at Dances With Films in NYC, along with being profiled in Variety.

AMIRA MOORE ’19 started a new position as a Logistics Staff Member at the San Francisco 49ers. She will be working behind the scenes to help bring game days and special events to life at Levi’s Stadium!
